Hilex, Worlds Largest Plastic Bag Maker, Asks Innerecho to 'Set the Record Straight'

Hilex Poly is the world's largest manufacturer of carryout plastic bags. In fact, if you live in America and have ever used a plastic bag to carry your groceries, it was probably born in a Hilex factory. The Hilex story began in 1980, and although plastic bags are no less useful today, public perception has changed dramatically. Plastic bags are often portrayed as the poster child of environmental irresponsibility, but many of the "facts" floating around the media are simply not true.
Hilex asked Innerecho to design and build a website that would help set the record straight. The result is thetruthaboutplasticbags.com. Our efforts helped soften the image of plastic bags and humanize the image of Hilex by putting an environmentally conscious "face" behind a traditionally anonymous product. An open-source Content Management System powers the site, making it simple and easy for Hilex staff to update the blog-style "fact checker" as new myths surface that need to be addressed.
