'Aerobics' Birthplace Cooper Institute and Innerecho Bring Experience Design to Clinical Trials

October 27, 2007

When Dr. Kenneth Cooper published his first bestseller, "Aerobics," in 1968, he introduced a new word and a new concept to America. He founded The Cooper Institute in 1970 to prove that it was as important to try and prevent disease as it was to treat and cure it. What was once looked upon as "opinion" has become scientific reality, due in large part to the Institute's innovative research studies that focus on health and fitness. INFLAME was one such study, and The Cooper Institute needed our help.

The Cooper Institute enlisted Innerecho to design and build a web-based clinical trials management system for the INFLAME study, which sought to link decreased inflammation and exercise. The system needed to act as an intake for participant evaluations, and then organize the information to allow Cooper staff to perform their research. And over one year later, the experience design is still more advanced than even the latest commercially available systems. (we just love saying that)
